This is Goodbye

Jenny and Ziva lay in bed in a hotel room in Cairo. Jenny blew her red hair away from her face but it fell on her sweat covered face. Ziva leant across and pushed the hair strand out of Jenny's way.

"Thank you," Jenny whispered as she saw Ziva's sweat covered naked body above her. Ziva lay back down next to Jenny.

"Jenny," Ziva uttered. Jenny turned on her side looking at her lover.

"Ziva," she replied.

"Who left who?" Ziva asked her voice sounded so small.

"What?" Jenny uttered completely confused by the Israeli.

"In Paris," Ziva asked, "That NCIS Agent you were involved with,"

"Jethro," Jenny uttered.

"Yes, him," Ziva said.

"I left him," Jenny admitted, "I had a new assignment,"

"Oh," Ziva replied. She pulled the blanket up over her.

"Why do you ask?" Jenny asked.

"I wanted to know," Ziva replied. She turned her back to Jenny.

"Are you being reassigned?" Jenny asked trying to hide her sadness.

"Yes," Ziva replied as she turned back over.

Jenny's heart sank, though Ziva was defiantly not in the five point plan she did not quite want to give her up. Not yet.

"Were you going to leave me," Jenny uttered, like I left Jethro

"I am not good at goodbyes," Ziva replied, "And it is what it is, no amount of tears will change what is happening," Jenny looked up at Ziva's eyes.

"Is this what you Mossad does?" Jenny asked. "Ups and leaves,"

"Yes," Ziva admitted thinking of Malachi Ben- Gidon whom she had left in his bed.

"It's ok," Jenny whispered. "Can we at least get a goodbye screw,"

A smile crossed Ziva's face. No words were going to change what was happening. But one last action might just leave memory. They would always have Cairo.
